Bryggjuhátíðin á Drangsnesi, árlegu hátíðarhöld Drangsnesinga verður haldin um komandi helgi. Að venju verður þar margt um dýrðir, hið rómaða fiskihlaðborð, siglingar út í Grímsey og fjör allan daginn. Þar verða Strandahestar með hestana sína að venju og markaðsstjald handverkshópsins Assa og hvers kyns listsýningar auk fuglahræðukeppni svo eitthvað sé nefnt. Bryggjuhátíðin er kannski þekktust fyrir það að meðan hún stendur yfir þá skín sólin iðulega skærast á Ströndum. Bryggjuhátíð á Drangsnesi hefur verið haldið árlega síðan 1996.

The Annual Summer Festival in Drangsnes

The annual summer festival in Drangsnes village by Steingrímsfjörður in Strandir will be held over the weekend. As usual there will be lot of people there celebrating with the locals. There will be boat tours out to the island Grímsey every hour and people can stay there as long as they want. The seafood buffet is one of the highest peaks of the festival and everyone can enjoy the lovely hot pots in the middle of the village.
