Kotbýli kuklarans í Bjarnarfirði 5 ára í dag

Í dag eru fimm ár frá því að Kotbýli kuklarans var opnað til sýningar. Kotbýli kuklarans er annar áfangi Galdrasýningar á Ströndum og þar er sýning um hvernig 17. aldar almúgamaður mun hafa búið. Þar er að finna forna galdra og tákn við hvert fótmál. Kotbýlið stendur örskammt frá Gvendarlaug æðislegri sundlaug í Bjarnarfirði. Í þjónustuhúsi Kotbýlisins er hægt að fá allar upplýsingar um hinn skjólsæla Bjarnarfjörð. Kotbýli kuklarans er opið daglega frá kl. 13:00 - 18:00.

Five years since The Sorcerer's Cottage opened

Today there are five years since The Sorcerer's Cottage, the second part of The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery & Witchcraft in Strandir opened. Inside the cottage is an exhibition telling how it was being a tenant farmer during the 17th C and what magic people would use. There you find signs and magic by every step. The Sorcerers Cottage stands by the geothermal swimming pool Gvendarlaug, named after Guðmundur the good a bishop from 13th C. Inside the service building for the cottage one can get every information he needs about the beautiful Bjarnarfjörður. From Hólmavík to The Sorcerers Cottage are only 28 km, appr. 30 minutes drive.
